This project tackles the problem of unnecessary demolition and waste that is associated within the field of construction. The existing building is planned to be demolished and replaced with a new library and a nursery.

A new scheme is put forward with the same proposed programs, but this time using a more sustainable source of materials and construction. Most of the existing building was kept, whilst additional spaces were designed for the new programs. Intervention of the current life cycle of casks and canal dredging were explored to create a circular economy and their potential to be used as a building material.
