Colori delle Mondine recalls the women who once toiled in Po Valley’s rice paddies. At Casana Lossano, a water garden fills the entrance and Aia, evoking the flooded fields, while raised platforms offer relief—spaces to pause, gather, or even dance. Bold geometric forms are scattered across the site, carving porticos, rest spots, and abstract paths that suggest vast fields. Muted tones, drawn from the Mondine’s clothing, link landscape and architecture. Clerestory-lit porches, brick louvres, and subtle farmhouse alterations respect the past, while geometric skeletons and framed views create poetic spaces of reflection, balancing memory, community, and quiet renewal.
